GARGOYLE

Gargoyle is a plastic ornament that hangs on Michael's study wall over his bookcase.

However, Michael sees it differently.

He sees an animated, scaly flesh and blood creature, whose dialogues portray a sagacious mentor casting out invaluable, therapeutic counselling, helping him make sense of the procession of illusions and distortions invading his troubled mind.

Huh!

In other words, Michael talks to a piece of plastic (probably made in Korea) that he imagines talks back.

He's discussing his hallucinations with an illusionary persona.

Another great imaginary benefit of Gargoyle is for pest control, albeit at the price of an incredible drooling problem.
